Arrival Day: You'll be met by your Namaste India Tours English speaking driver at the exit of the arrivals hall and taken to your hotel. He'll get you settled in your room and agree on a meeting time for tomorrow's City Tour of Delhi. Breakfasts are included throughout your trip.

Day 2. Full day City Tour of Delhi. Make payment in full some time this day if not made day before. Evening movie at air-conditioned Plaza or Regal Cinemas.

Day 3. To Kalka by AC car.

Day 4. Famous Toy Train to Shimla departs 5:45 am. Driver drops you at station in Kalka and meets you at the other end at the station in historic Shimla at 10:25 a.m. Transfer to hotel. Stroll Mall Road and the bazaars. Be sure to visit the Indian Coffee House.

Day 5. Around Shimla. Kufari horse ride to Mahasu Peak, Hanuman Temple, Kali Mata Mandir.

Day 6. To Mandi. Sightseeing might include the magnificaent Beas River, ancient Shiva temples and Tarna Mata Mandir at the top of Mandi for exceptional views. If you can add two days, add a simply unforgettable stay in the village of Neri. Click here for that trip.

Day 7. To Manali via Hanogi Mata temple with swinging bridge, Kullu Valley.

Day 8. Side trip to Rohtang Pass 50km. from Manali, 4000 meters high. On return see Hadimba Temple and Old Manali including Manu Temple.

Day 9. To Manikaran. Visit mysterious hot springs.

Day 10. To Dharamsala via Joginder Nagar and Baijnath (famous Shiva Temple). Visit Camunda Devi (famous Durga temple). Night in McLeod Ganj (upper Dharamsala).

Day 11. Around Dharamsala and McLeod Ganj. Visit a Tibetan Monastery and the Dalai Lama residency. View of the Dhouladaar Himalyan range.

Day 12. To the holy city of Amritsar.

Day 13. Sightseeing around Amritsar includes the Golden Temple, Jalianwala Bagh, Durgiana Temple. Side trip to Wagha Border of India and Pakistan at sunset.

Day 14. To Delhi by modern Shatabadi Express train. (Driver released.) Namaste India Tours meets client at New Delhi Station and transfers to hotel.

Day 15. Around Delhi, transfer to airport or train station for departure at the end of your day.

Need some guidance on how much to tip your driver for his 15 days of continual service? Gosh, this is awkward. Ask your driver, or anyone providing you a service in India and their answer will be "as you wish" which really isn't helpful, is it? We'll just tell you honestly that a typical tip is between Rs 700 and Rs 1000 per day, paid directly to the driver at the end of your trip.
